Written and directed by Jeff Wadlow, the film follows teenage wannabe superhero Kick-Ass join up with a larger team of self-styled crime fighters while his former colleague Hit-Girl attempts to. There was and sill is a lot of potential in the story to go further. Kick-Ass 2 is an action comedy superhero film released in 2013, and it is based on the comic book of the same name by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. It defiantly wasn’t one of those pointless sequels. So over all I think the sequel definitely lived up to the original. so obviously I loved the first one and had been anticipating the sequel from the moment it ended and as the credits rolled up for this one the anticipation for the third one had already begun as well. These are all things that you really might not expect from these movies but it delivers them and that should not go un-credited.
#Kick ass 2 cast movie
All this helps keeps the movie grounded, giving it a gritty feel, while still being amusing. So no they don’t have super powers, they’ve got home made weapons and costumes and rely more so on their power of bewildering thugs rather than their limited combat skills (other than the exception of Hit Girl of course but even that is made understandable considering her up-bringing). You have to remember it’s about regular kids living in regular, modern day NYC but they decide to become super heroes. And that’s actually what I loved about these two movies, they manage to be fun but without compromising it’s sense of reality. There is a plot, there are great and intriguing characters that you truly do end up caring about, which I didn’t think I would, equipped with fully fleshed out story-lines and some decent character development on the side. And so if you’re also unsure about seeing it I suggest just going for it since it actually turned out to a be a pretty solid all around movie for the type of it was trying to be and that’s edgy but still fun without becoming a stupid action for actions sake, violence for violence sake just pure college humor type you might think it would be considering it’s R rating.
I haven’t read the comics but I was pleasantly surprised by the first one since I didn’t really go into it with any expectations. Okay, so with finals out of the way I finally got to watch some movies (yeah!) and it just so happened that I immediately decided on Kick Ass 2.
